Barangay San Julian Norte

Barangay San Julian Norte is a small barangay in the municipality of Agoo, located in the province of La Union, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Julian Norte had a population of 740. This made it the 44th largest of 49 barangays in Agoo by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Julian Norte accounted for approximately 1.12% of the total population of Agoo, which stood at 66,028 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Julian Norte changed from 744 to 740, a shift of -0.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in Agoo. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Julian Norte as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Agoo is a municipality comprising 49 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Julian Norte, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of La Union, which contains 576 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Julian Norte ranks 455th by 2020 population.
