Barangay San Vicente Sur

Barangay San Vicente Sur is a small barangay in the municipality of Agoo, located in the province of La Union, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Vicente Sur had a population of 1,164. This made it the 28th largest of 49 barangays in Agoo by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Vicente Sur accounted for approximately 1.76% of the total population of Agoo, which stood at 66,028 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Vicente Sur moving from 1,108 residents to 1,164 residents, an intercensal change of +5.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Vicente Sur as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
