Barangay Villafria

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Villafria is one of the administrative divisions of Agutaya in Palawan, MIMAROPA Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Villafria had a population of 598. This made it the 5th largest of 10 barangays in Agutaya by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Villafria accounted for approximately 4.65% of the total population of Agutaya, which stood at 12,867 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Villafria changed from 516 to 598, a shift of +15.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Agutaya. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Villafria as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Agutaya is a municipality comprising 10 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Villafria, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
