Barangay Pigcawaran

Barangay Pigcawaran is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Alamada, located in the province of Cotabato, in the SOCCSKSARGEN region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pigcawaran had a population of 4,428. This made it the 6th largest of 17 barangays in Alamada by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pigcawaran accounted for approximately 6.45% of the total population of Alamada, which stood at 68,659 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pigcawaran moving from 4,323 residents to 4,428 residents, an intercensal change of +2.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Pigcawaran is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
