Barangay Bulod

Situated in Alimodian, Iloilo, Barangay Bulod is one of 51 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bulod had a population of 674. This made it the 19th largest of 51 barangays in Alimodian by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bulod accounted for approximately 1.70% of the total population of Alimodian, which stood at 39,722 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 713 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 674 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -5.5%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Bulod is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Alimodian is a municipality comprising 51 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bulod, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Iloilo, which contains 1,901 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Bulod ranks 1081st by 2020 population.
