Barangay Pianda-an Sur

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Pianda-an Sur is one of the administrative divisions of Alimodian in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pianda-an Sur had a population of 496. This made it the 33rd largest of 51 barangays in Alimodian by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pianda-an Sur accounted for approximately 1.25% of the total population of Alimodian, which stood at 39,722 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 472 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 496 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +5.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Pianda-an Sur is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Alimodian is a municipality comprising 51 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pianda-an Sur, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
