Barangay Munlawin Norte

Barangay Munlawin Norte is a small barangay in the municipality of Alitagtag, located in the province of Batangas, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Munlawin Norte had a population of 1,394. This made it the 8th largest of 19 barangays in Alitagtag by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Munlawin Norte accounted for approximately 5.20% of the total population of Alitagtag, which stood at 26,819 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,243 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,394 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +12.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Munlawin Norte as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Alitagtag is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Munlawin Norte, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
