Barangay Linayasan

Situated in Altavas, Aklan, Barangay Linayasan is one of 14 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Linayasan had a population of 2,006. This made it the 5th largest of 14 barangays in Altavas by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Linayasan accounted for approximately 7.82% of the total population of Altavas, which stood at 25,639 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Linayasan moving from 1,872 residents to 2,006 residents, an intercensal change of +7.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
