Barangay Lupo

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Lupo is one of the administrative divisions of Altavas in Aklan, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lupo had a population of 2,216. This made it the 3rd largest of 14 barangays in Altavas by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lupo accounted for approximately 8.64% of the total population of Altavas, which stood at 25,639 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lupo moving from 2,127 residents to 2,216 residents, an intercensal change of +4.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Lupo is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
