Barangay Hernando

Situated in Anao, Tarlac, Barangay Hernando is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

This made it the 11th largest of 18 barangays in Anao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Hernando accounted for approximately 3.75% of the total population of Anao, which stood at 12,208 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Hernando moving from 449 residents to 458 residents, an intercensal change of +2.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Hernando is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
