Barangay Poblacion

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Poblacion is one of the administrative divisions of Anao in Tarlac, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 372. This made it the 18th largest of 18 barangays in Anao by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 3.05% of the total population of Anao, which stood at 12,208 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion moving from 356 residents to 372 residents, an intercensal change of +4.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Poblacion is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Anao is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
