Barangay Palaypay

Barangay Palaypay is a small barangay in the municipality of Anilao, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Palaypay had a population of 1,278. This made it the 12th largest of 21 barangays in Anilao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Palaypay accounted for approximately 4.19% of the total population of Anilao, which stood at 30,520 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Palaypay moving from 1,227 residents to 1,278 residents, an intercensal change of +4.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Palaypay is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
