Barangay Baan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Baan is one of the administrative divisions of Aritao in Nueva Vizcaya, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Baan had a population of 590. This made it the 21st largest of 22 barangays in Aritao by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Baan accounted for approximately 1.40% of the total population of Aritao, which stood at 42,197 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Baan moving from 525 residents to 590 residents, an intercensal change of +12.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Baan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Aritao is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Baan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
