Barangay Tubod

Barangay Tubod is a small barangay in the municipality of Asturias, located in the province of Cebu, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tubod had a population of 947. This made it the 16th largest of 27 barangays in Asturias by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tubod accounted for approximately 1.71% of the total population of Asturias, which stood at 55,397 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tubod moving from 892 residents to 947 residents, an intercensal change of +6.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tubod as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
