Barangay Campawan

Situated in Baganga, Davao Oriental, Barangay Campawan is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within Davao Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Campawan had a population of 2,114. This made it the 13th largest of 18 barangays in Baganga by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Campawan accounted for approximately 3.60% of the total population of Baganga, which stood at 58,714 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,043 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,114 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +3.5%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Campawan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Baganga is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Campawan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
