Barangay Lambajon

Barangay Lambajon is a large barangay in the municipality of Baganga, located in the province of Davao Oriental, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Lambajon had a population of 7,635. This made it the 1st largest of 18 barangays in Baganga by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lambajon accounted for approximately 13.00% of the total population of Baganga, which stood at 58,714 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 7,661 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 7,635 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -0.3%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Lambajon as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Baganga is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lambajon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Davao Oriental, which contains 183 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Lambajon ranks 11th by 2020 population. Davao Oriental is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

Barangay Lambajon is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
