Barangay Bagunot

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Bagunot is one of the administrative divisions of Baggao in Cagayan, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bagunot had a population of 1,351. This made it the 28th largest of 48 barangays in Baggao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bagunot accounted for approximately 1.54% of the total population of Baggao, which stood at 87,753 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Bagunot changed from 1,244 to 1,351, a shift of +8.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Baggao. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bagunot as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Baggao is a municipality comprising 48 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bagunot, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
