Barangay Concepcion

Barangay Concepcion is a large barangay in the municipality of Baliuag, located in the province of Bulacan, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Concepcion had a population of 10,159. This made it the 5th largest of 27 barangays in Baliuag by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Concepcion accounted for approximately 6.03% of the total population of Baliuag, which stood at 168,470 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Concepcion changed from 9,933 to 10,159, a shift of +2.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Baliuag. Barangay Concepcion is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Baliuag is a municipality comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Concepcion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bulacan, which contains 569 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Concepcion ranks 89th by 2020 population.
