Barangay Bangcu

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Bangcu is one of the administrative divisions of Bamban in Tarlac, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bangcu had a population of 266. This made it the 14th largest of 15 barangays in Bamban by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bangcu accounted for approximately 0.34% of the total population of Bamban, which stood at 78,260 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bangcu moving from 191 residents to 266 residents, an intercensal change of +39.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Bangcu is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bamban is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bangcu, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
