Barangay Culubasa

Barangay Culubasa is a very small barangay in the municipality of Bamban, located in the province of Tarlac, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Culubasa had a population of 434. This made it the 13th largest of 15 barangays in Bamban by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Culubasa accounted for approximately 0.55% of the total population of Bamban, which stood at 78,260 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Culubasa moving from 271 residents to 434 residents, an intercensal change of +60.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Culubasa as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bamban is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Culubasa, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
