Barangay Almaguer South

Situated in Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya, Barangay Almaguer South is one of 25 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Almaguer South had a population of 1,932. This made it the 15th largest of 25 barangays in Bambang by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Almaguer South accounted for approximately 3.46% of the total population of Bambang, which stood at 55,789 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,953 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,932 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -1.1%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. Barangay Almaguer South is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bambang is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Almaguer South, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
