Barangay Indiana

Situated in Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya, Barangay Indiana is one of 25 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Indiana had a population of 2,449. This made it the 10th largest of 25 barangays in Bambang by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Indiana accounted for approximately 4.39% of the total population of Bambang, which stood at 55,789 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Indiana changed from 2,059 to 2,449, a shift of +18.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Bambang. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Indiana as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bambang is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Indiana, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Nueva Vizcaya, which contains 275 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Indiana ranks 63rd by 2020 population.
