Barangay Calabeng

Barangay Calabeng is a small barangay in the municipality of Bani, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Calabeng had a population of 1,093. This made it the 23rd largest of 27 barangays in Bani by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Calabeng accounted for approximately 2.08% of the total population of Bani, which stood at 52,603 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Calabeng changed from 1,096 to 1,093, a shift of -0.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in Bani. Barangay Calabeng is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bani is a municipality comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Calabeng, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
