Barangay Bomitog

Situated in Banna, Ilocos Norte, Barangay Bomitog is one of 20 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bomitog had a population of 1,276. This made it the 2nd largest of 20 barangays in Banna by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bomitog accounted for approximately 6.61% of the total population of Banna, which stood at 19,297 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bomitog moving from 1,314 residents to 1,276 residents, an intercensal change of -2.9%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Bomitog is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
