Barangay New Clarin

Situated in Bansalan, Davao Del Sur, Barangay New Clarin is one of 25 barangays that make up the municipality within Davao Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay New Clarin had a population of 4,515. This made it the 4th largest of 25 barangays in Bansalan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay New Clarin accounted for approximately 7.20% of the total population of Bansalan, which stood at 62,737 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,086 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,515 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +10.5%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay New Clarin is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bansalan is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay New Clarin, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
