Barangay Poblacion Dos

Barangay Poblacion Dos is a large barangay in the municipality of Bansalan, located in the province of Davao Del Sur, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion Dos had a population of 10,532. This made it the 1st largest of 25 barangays in Bansalan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion Dos accounted for approximately 16.79% of the total population of Bansalan, which stood at 62,737 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 9,031 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 10,532 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +16.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion Dos as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Bansalan is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion Dos, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
