Barangay Naguiddayan

Situated in Bantay, Ilocos Sur, Barangay Naguiddayan is one of 34 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Naguiddayan had a population of 767. This made it the 22nd largest of 34 barangays in Bantay by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Naguiddayan accounted for approximately 2.07% of the total population of Bantay, which stood at 37,118 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 668 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 767 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +14.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Naguiddayan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bantay is a municipality comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Naguiddayan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
