Barangay Taleb

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Taleb is one of the administrative divisions of Bantay in Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Taleb had a population of 1,953. This made it the 5th largest of 34 barangays in Bantay by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Taleb accounted for approximately 5.26% of the total population of Bantay, which stood at 37,118 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Taleb changed from 1,938 to 1,953, a shift of +0.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Bantay. Barangay Taleb is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Bantay is a municipality comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Taleb, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
