Barangay Danatag

Situated in Baungon, Bukidnon, Barangay Danatag is one of 16 barangays that make up the municipality within Northern Mindanao.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Danatag had a population of 2,450. This made it the 8th largest of 16 barangays in Baungon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Danatag accounted for approximately 6.60% of the total population of Baungon, which stood at 37,111 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,561 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,450 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -4.3%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Danatag is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Baungon is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Danatag, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bukidnon, which contains 464 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Danatag ranks 209th by 2020 population.
