Barangay Poblacion East

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Poblacion East is one of the administrative divisions of Bautista in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion East had a population of 1,980. This made it the 9th largest of 18 barangays in Bautista by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion East accounted for approximately 5.59% of the total population of Bautista, which stood at 35,398 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,969 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,980 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +0.6%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion East as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bautista is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion East, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
