Barangay Bani

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Bani is one of the administrative divisions of Bayambang in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bani had a population of 3,087. This made it the 7th largest of 77 barangays in Bayambang by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bani accounted for approximately 2.39% of the total population of Bayambang, which stood at 129,011 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bani moving from 2,860 residents to 3,087 residents, an intercensal change of +7.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bani as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bayambang is a municipality comprising 77 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bani, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pangasinan, which contains 1,364 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Bani ranks 304th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
