Barangay Nacalma

Situated in Benito Soliven, Isabela, Barangay Nacalma is one of 29 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Nacalma had a population of 939. This made it the 10th largest of 29 barangays in Benito Soliven by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Nacalma accounted for approximately 3.16% of the total population of Benito Soliven, which stood at 29,752 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 965 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 939 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -2.7%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Nacalma as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Benito Soliven is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Nacalma, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Isabela, which contains 1,055 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Nacalma ranks 684th by 2020 population.
