Barangay Poblacion

Situated in Bilar, Bohol, Barangay Poblacion is one of 19 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 1,734. This made it the 3rd largest of 19 barangays in Bilar by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 9.37% of the total population of Bilar, which stood at 18,512 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion moving from 1,588 residents to 1,734 residents, an intercensal change of +9.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Bilar is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
