Barangay Pag-Asa

Situated in Binangonan, Rizal, Barangay Pag-Asa is one of 40 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pag-Asa had a population of 19,476. This made it the 2nd largest of 40 barangays in Binangonan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pag-Asa accounted for approximately 6.21% of the total population of Binangonan, which stood at 313,631 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Pag-Asa changed from 16,848 to 19,476, a shift of +15.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Binangonan. Barangay Pag-Asa is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Binangonan is a municipality comprising 40 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pag-Asa, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Rizal, which contains 189 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Pag-Asa ranks 39th by 2020 population.
