Barangay Tapacon

Barangay Tapacon is a small barangay in the municipality of Bingawan, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tapacon had a population of 910. This made it the 4th largest of 14 barangays in Bingawan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tapacon accounted for approximately 5.63% of the total population of Bingawan, which stood at 16,164 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tapacon moving from 791 residents to 910 residents, an intercensal change of +15.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Tapacon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
