Barangay Manat

Situated in Binmaley, Pangasinan, Barangay Manat is one of 33 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Manat had a population of 1,530. This made it the 28th largest of 33 barangays in Binmaley by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Manat accounted for approximately 1.76% of the total population of Binmaley, which stood at 86,881 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,635 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,530 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -6.4%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Manat as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Binmaley is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Manat, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
