Barangay Balimbing

Barangay Balimbing is a small barangay in the municipality of Boac, located in the province of Marinduque, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Balimbing had a population of 1,612. This made it the 9th largest of 61 barangays in Boac by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Balimbing accounted for approximately 2.81% of the total population of Boac, which stood at 57,283 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Balimbing moving from 1,492 residents to 1,612 residents, an intercensal change of +8.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Balimbing is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
