Barangay Bamban

Barangay Bamban is a very small barangay in the municipality of Boac, located in the province of Marinduque, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bamban had a population of 495. This made it the 43rd largest of 61 barangays in Boac by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bamban accounted for approximately 0.86% of the total population of Boac, which stood at 57,283 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bamban moving from 438 residents to 495 residents, an intercensal change of +13.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Bamban is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
