Barangay Arellano

Situated in Bobon, Northern Samar, Barangay Arellano is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Arellano had a population of 863. This made it the 14th largest of 18 barangays in Bobon by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Arellano accounted for approximately 3.32% of the total population of Bobon, which stood at 25,964 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Arellano moving from 821 residents to 863 residents, an intercensal change of +5.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Arellano as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bobon is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Arellano, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
