Residents of Barangay Avila accounted for approximately 5.43% of the total population of Buenavista, which stood at 52,899 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Avila moving from 2,398 residents to 2,875 residents, an intercensal change of +19.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
