Barangay Poblacion

Situated in Bustos, Bulacan, Barangay Poblacion is one of 14 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 8,262. This made it the 2nd largest of 14 barangays in Bustos by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 10.70% of the total population of Bustos, which stood at 77,199 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Poblacion changed from 7,153 to 8,262, a shift of +15.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Bustos. Barangay Poblacion is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Bustos is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bulacan, which contains 569 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Poblacion ranks 129th by 2020 population.
