Barangay Magbangon (Pob.)

Barangay Magbangon (Pob.) is a small barangay in the municipality of Cabucgayan, located in the province of Biliran, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Magbangon (Pob.) had a population of 1,704. This made it the 4th largest of 13 barangays in Cabucgayan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Magbangon (Pob.) accounted for approximately 7.91% of the total population of Cabucgayan, which stood at 21,542 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,611 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,704 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +5.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Magbangon (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Cabucgayan is a municipality comprising 13 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Magbangon (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
