Barangay Namruangan

Barangay Namruangan forms part of Cabugao, a municipality in Ilocos Sur, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Namruangan had a population of 2,015. This made it the 5th largest of 33 barangays in Cabugao by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Namruangan accounted for approximately 5.18% of the total population of Cabugao, which stood at 38,884 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Namruangan moving from 1,914 residents to 2,015 residents, an intercensal change of +5.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Namruangan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
