Barangay Dapacan Bajo

Barangay Dapacan Bajo is a small barangay in the municipality of Calamba, located in the province of Misamis Occidental, in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dapacan Bajo had a population of 639. This made it the 13th largest of 19 barangays in Calamba by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dapacan Bajo accounted for approximately 2.75% of the total population of Calamba, which stood at 23,227 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Dapacan Bajo changed from 617 to 639, a shift of +3.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Calamba. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dapacan Bajo as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Calamba is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dapacan Bajo, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
