Barangay Lamot 2

Barangay Lamot 2 is a large barangay in the municipality of Calauan, located in the province of Laguna, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Lamot 2 had a population of 7,504. This made it the 3rd largest of 17 barangays in Calauan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lamot 2 accounted for approximately 8.56% of the total population of Calauan, which stood at 87,693 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lamot 2 moving from 6,699 residents to 7,504 residents, an intercensal change of +12.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Lamot 2 as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Calauan is a municipality comprising 17 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lamot 2, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
