Barangay Villalon

Barangay Villalon is a small barangay in the municipality of Calubian, located in the province of Leyte, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Villalon had a population of 1,050. This made it the 4th largest of 53 barangays in Calubian by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Villalon accounted for approximately 3.32% of the total population of Calubian, which stood at 31,646 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Villalon moving from 1,059 residents to 1,050 residents, an intercensal change of -0.8%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Villalon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
