Barangay Malabon

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Malabon is one of the administrative divisions of Candelaria in Zambales, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Malabon had a population of 3,175. This made it the 3rd largest of 16 barangays in Candelaria by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Malabon accounted for approximately 10.49% of the total population of Candelaria, which stood at 30,263 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Malabon moving from 2,627 residents to 3,175 residents, an intercensal change of +20.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Malabon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Candelaria is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Malabon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
