Barangay Calabaca

Situated in Capalonga, Camarines Norte, Barangay Calabaca is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Calabaca had a population of 3,221. This made it the 4th largest of 22 barangays in Capalonga by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Calabaca accounted for approximately 8.89% of the total population of Capalonga, which stood at 36,223 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Calabaca changed from 2,872 to 3,221, a shift of +12.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Capalonga. Barangay Calabaca is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Capalonga is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Calabaca, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
