Situated in Caramoran, Catanduanes, Barangay Bocon is one of 27 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bocon had a population of 345. This made it the 27th largest of 27 barangays in Caramoran by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bocon accounted for approximately 1.07% of the total population of Caramoran, which stood at 32,114 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Bocon changed from 330 to 345, a shift of +4.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Caramoran. Barangay Bocon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Caramoran is a municipality comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bocon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Catanduanes, which contains 315 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Bocon ranks 276th by 2020 population.
