Barangay Camansi

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Camansi is one of the administrative divisions of Carigara in Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Camansi had a population of 1,294. This made it the 12th largest of 49 barangays in Carigara by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Camansi accounted for approximately 2.37% of the total population of Carigara, which stood at 54,656 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Camansi moving from 1,145 residents to 1,294 residents, an intercensal change of +13.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Camansi as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Carigara is a municipality comprising 49 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Camansi, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
